Sarah’s vocab @ 19months

—a lot! but i’ll list a few today..

There’s a list of words (of more than 1 syllable) that she can say clearly&correctly like tajam (learned after she accidentally poke her palm with a mechanical pencil, leaving >5mm< of the pencil lead inside the palm *ouch* :( i hope carbon in that small amount won’t harm her body :P), jatuh (“jatuh..e’eh!”), tumpah (keep reporting to everybody else if somebody tumpahkan something), kakak (for kids, both boys & girls. i heard one boy complaining to her elder sis “ada ke dia panggil kita kakak!” when sarah excitedly called him “kakak…kakak!” o_O!), kakak baby (for babies younger than her), ayam, chicken,….

There’re words she says by the end syllable only like tan (rambutan), dap (sedap),  yu (thank you), derl (candle), tekk (cantek), nana (banana),….

There’re words she just like to invent lah like the well known paberg (balloon) was then called pabutak and she’d shorten it to be just autak now, tonn (cold), penn (coins), yak-bom (lie down to sleep/ get up! —depends on situation),….

There’re words that are still pelat but we can understand them like fawergh (flower), hawoh (hello? —using the house phone), ticak (cicak), agun (Agong face on a MalaysianRinggit note), tu-jab! (good job!)

Whatever it is, we need to make sure she does not pick up not-so-good words, coz i heard one not-so-good word from her once! *o_O*. She really is listening…..really really!! Proof?

mr.daddy: assalamualai……?

mr.daddy+me: *amazed*(rasa mcm belum pernah ajar jawab salam ni!)

—Happy learning, my li’ll girl!—
